How do you choose what subjects to write about for children?
Here’s the best answer I have for this question…without a doubt…
DO NOT follow the trends that are happening today. Books being published today have most likely been in development for years already.
Think about all the time it takes to write, edit, get creative feedback, create illustrations, read and sign contracts… all the time spent adds up.
Traditional publishers were already on the hunt and now additional books on today’s “popular” subject matter are probably no longer on the list.
So instead of trying to follow the trend…you have to CREATE the trend.
