Are you thinking of beginning to write?
Are you afraid someone will steal your story?
Do you think you can do it all on your own before even starting?
Then you might be an aspiring author.
According to the dictionary, an aspiring means to
seek to attain or accomplish a particular goal.
So, in this case, it would be to become a published author.
A writer writes either as a hobby or passion... and they actually write.
Many choose to do so daily and have a schedule for doing so. BTW, you don’t have to have a rigid schedule for it, but many people need one to finish a project.
An aspiring author is someone who has a dream, wish, or goal of writing someday, but has yet to begin.
